SVANTEK offers few software solutions for data downloading and processing as well as remote control and
communication with SVAN 979 depending on the user’s needs and capabilities:
• SvanPC++ - data downloading and uploading, data post-processing, reporting and remote control via
the USB or RS232 connection with a PC,
• BA Assistant – building acoustics and speech intelligibility measurements via the Bluetooth
®
connection
with a smartphone.
The SvanPC++ installation package can be downloaded from the Svantek official web-side. BA Assistant can
be installed via the Play Store application.
When SVAN 979 is a part of the SV 279 monitoring station it can be controlled via the cellular connection.
Cellular connection opens wider possibilities for remote communication. There are two communication options
for the cellular connection, which depend on the Internet access, provided by cellular operators.
First and easiest option is to use the SvanNET web-service, which enables basic features for the user as:
instrument performance control, data files downloading and setup files uploading. SvanNET allows usage of
all type of SIM cards with a station modem regardless of having a public or private IP. The connection over
SvanNET allows you to:
• use a PC, mobile phone or tablet with the access to the Internet,
• watch real time measurement results, start measurements, download files and reconfigure your
stations.
Another option is to use Remote Communication module for SvanPC++ (SvanPC++_RC), which offers different
ways of connections and enables continuous data transfer from the monitoring station to a PC. The connections
with the use of SvanPC++_RC allows you to:
• use a PC with installed SvanPC++_RC and access to the Internet,
• use all types of the SIM card with public or private, static or dynamic IP,
• watch real time measurement results, start measurements, download files, reconfigure your stations,
archive data, web-publish, etc.
• post-process data and make a report.
