Loudness
Measurement Function enabling calculation of the so
called “Bark spectrum”. The Bark spectrum is calculated
from pre-defined 1/3-octave spectrum (25 Hz - 12.5 kHz)
in accordance with the ISO 532B standard. Results are
presented in a special presentation view. When the
Loudness function is active the S:LOUD abbreviation
appears in the icon line.

STIPA
Measurement Function enabling analysis of the speech
intelligibility with the STIPA method. When the STIPA
function is active the S:STI abbreviation appears in the
icon line.

Position
Description
Screen
Reference
Calibration
Position on the Function screen that opens a screen with
positions allowing you to perform calibration or system
check of the instrument: System Check, Calibration by
Sensitivity, Calibration by Measurement, Last
Calibration, Clear Calibration History and Auto
Calibration.
Chapter
3.3
System Check
Position in the Calibration screen allowing you to perform
system check. ISO 8041-1:2017 standard advises users
to perform in-situ checks of measuring instruments.
Checking should be carried out immediately before and
after the measurement.
Chapter
3.3.1
Calibration by
Sensitivity
Type of calibration with the use of microphone’s
published sensitivity information. This calibration doesn’t
perform any calibration measurement and doesn’t
require any calibrator.
Chapter
3.3.2, 3.3.3
Sensitivity
Transducer’s sensitivity, given by the producer, which
should be set during the Calibration by Sensitivity. For
microphones the sensitivity is usually given in mV/Pa and
for accelerometers in mV/ms
-2
.
Chapter
3.3.2, 3.3.3
Calibration by
Measurement
Type of calibration based on the reference signal
measurement with the use of a microphone or
accelerometer calibrator.
Chapter
3.3.4, 3.3.5
Calibration Level
Level of the reference signal generated by used
calibrator.
Chapter
3.3.4, 3.3.5
Calibration Result
Measured by the instrument reference signal level
without calibration factor correction.
Chapter
3.3.4, 3.3.5
