17.1 MODES AND MEASUREMENT FUNCTIONS
The menu section enabling selection of the
measurement Mode, Measurement Function and
perform Calibration of the instrument.
Mode of the instrument operation defined by the
connected transducer:
- noise parameters measurement (Sound Meter,
Direct Sound) or
- vibration parameters measurement (Vibration Meter,
Direct Vibration).
Measurement of sound results with dedicated
preamplifier and microphone. When Sound Meter is
selected all abbreviations of the Measurement Function
start from S letter.
Measurement of vibration results with dedicated
accelerometer. When Vibration Meter is selected all
abbreviations of the Measurement Function start from V
letter.
Measurement of sound results with other than dedicated
preamplifier and microphone (direct voltage input). When
Sound Meter is selected all abbreviations of the
Measurement Function start from DS letters.
Measurement of vibration results with other than
dedicated accelerometer (direct voltage input). When
Vibration Meter is selected all abbreviations of the
Measurement Function start from DV letters.
Type of calculations the instrument currently performs
(its abbreviation in the icon line of the display):
- Level Meter (SLM or VLM),
- 1/1 Octave (S:1/1 or V:1/1),
- 1/3 Octave (S:1/3 or V:1/3),
- 1/6 Octave (S:1/6 or V:1/6),
- 1/12 Octave (S:1/12 or V:1/12),
- FFT (S:FFT or V:FFT),
- RT60 (S:RT60),
- Loudness (S:LOUD),
- STIPA (S:STI).
