SVAN 979 User Manual - Appendixes
Effect of Vibration
1. For mechanical vibrations with an acceleration of 1 m/s² vertically to the membrane of the microphone for
the frequencies 31,5 Hz, 63 Hz, 125 Hz, 250 Hz, 500 Hz, 630 Hz, 800 Hz and 1000 Hz increases the low
level of the linear operation range to 70dB for the frequency weighting “A”.
2. For mechanical vibrations with an acceleration of 1 m/parallel to the membrane of the microphone for
the frequencies 31,5 Hz, 63 Hz, 125 Hz, 250 Hz, 500 Hz, 630 Hz, 800 Hz and 1000 Hz increases the low
level of the linear operation range to 65dB for the frequency weighting "A".
Test conditions:
SVAN 979 with microphone and preamplifier is mounted on the shaker.
Ref 1. Vibration is applied in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the microphone diaphragm.
Ref 2. Vibration is applied in a direction parallel to the plane of the microphone diaphragm.
