9.UsetheTDMcontroller/displayscreentoverifytheenginespeed.
10.Slowlypressthetractionpedalintheforwarddirectionuntil6,900kPa(1,000
psi)isdisplayedonthetesterpressuregauge.Ensurethattherearwheel
isnotrotatingandrecordtheowmeterreading.
11.Releasethetractionpedal,shutofftheengine,rotatethefrontwheelbeing
tested90°Testagainandrecordtheowmeterreading.
12.Releasethetractionpedal,shutofftheengine,rotatethefrontwheelbeing
tested180°Testagainandrecordtheowmeterreading.
13.Usetheaverageofthe3owmeterreadingstojudgethefrontwheel
motorperformance.Testingofwheelmotorleakageinthe3differentwheel
positionswillprovidethemostaccuratetestresults.Theowthrougha
stationaryfrontwheelmotorshouldbe:
•Model31901=lessthan3.4L/minute(0.9gallons/minute)
•Model31902,31903,31907and31909=lessthan2.8L/minute(0.7
gallons/minute)
14.Ifspecicationsarenotmet,replaceorrepairthewornwheelmotor;referto
WheelMotors(page5–82)orWheelMotorService(page5–86).
15.Aftertesting:
A.Removethehydraulichoseandtester.
B.Removeallcapsandplugsandconnectallhydrauliclinesandhoses.
C.Removethejackstandsandlowerthemachinetotheground.
D.Checkandadjustthelevelofthehydraulicuidinthehydraulicreservoir;
refertothetractionunitOperator’sManual.
E.Starttheengineandcheckforanyhydraulicuidleaks.Repairhydraulic
leaksifnecessarybeforereturningthemachinetoservice.
