Unitsteeringperformancewillbeaffectedbyincorrectreartirepressure,binding
inthehydraulicsteeringcylinder,extraweightonthevehicle,and/orbindingof
thesteeringlinkageorspindles.Ensurethattheseconditionsarecheckedand
functioningproperlybeforeproceedingwithanysteeringsystemhydraulictesting.
Note:Thereliefvalveforthesteeringcircuitisintegratedintothesteering
controlvalve.
TestProcedure
1.Ensurethatthehydraulicuidisatnormaloperatingtemperatureby
operatingthemachineforatleast10minutes.
2.Drivethemachineslowlyinagureeightonaatlevelsurface.
A.Thereshouldbenoshakingorvibrationinthesteeringwheelorrear
wheels.
B.Thesteeringwheelmovementsshouldbefollowedimmediatelyby
acorrespondingrearwheelmovementwithoutthesteeringwheel
continuingtoturn.
3.Stoptheunitwiththeenginerunning.Turnthesteeringwheelwithsmall
quickmovementsinbothdirections.Letgoofthesteeringwheelaftereach
movement.
A.Thesteeringcontrolvalveshouldrespondtoeachsteeringwheel
movement.
