Unit(ECU)toidentifyanelectricalsystemmalfunction(fault)pertainingtothe
engineduringoperation.ThefaultIDsconformtoSAEJ2012standards.When
afaultoccursacodefortheactivefaultwillappearalongthebottomoftheTDM
display/controllerscreen.Ifmorethanonefaultisactive,theircodeswillscroll
acrossthebottomoftheTDMdisplay/controllerscreenone-by-one.Depending
ontheseverityofthefault,aSTOPiconmayalsobedisplayed.
RecentfaultscanbeviewedviatheTDMdisplay/controller.Acodeappears
aftereachfaultindicatingwhichcontrollergeneratedthefault.Forexample:
P1455:ENisaDPFpressuresensorfaultgeneratedbytheYanmarengineECU.
