Thewindshieldwasher/wiperswitchcontrolstheoperationofthewindshield
wiperandthewasherpump.Thewindshieldwasher/wiperswitchreceivespower
fromfuseF−3(20Amp)inthecabfuseblock.
TestingtheWindshieldWasher/WiperSwitch
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingunit(orattachment),
engagetheparkingbrake,setthekeyswitchtotheOFFpositionandremove
thekeyfromthekeyswitch.
2.Removetheswitchplatefromthecontrolpanelcover.
3.Disconnectthewireharnesselectricalconnectorfromthewindshield
wiper/washerswitch.Checktheswitchandtheharnessconnectorfor
damageorcorrosionandcleanorrepairifnecessary.
4.Useamultimeter(ohmssetting)andtheprecedingtabletodetermine
whethercontinuityexistsbetweenthevariousterminalsforeachswitch
position.
5.Replacethewindshieldwiper/washerswitchifnecessary.
6.Ifthewindshieldwiper/washerswitchtestingiscorrectandacircuitproblem
stillexists,checkthewireharness;refertoAppendixA(pageA–1).
7.Connectthewireharnesstothewindshieldwiper/washerswitch.
8.Installtheswitchplate.
