involvesmeasuringtheamountoffuelanunrestrictedpumpcandeliverovera
setperiodoftime.
RefertoFigure100forthisprocedure.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingunit(orattachment),
engagetheparkingbrake,setthekeyswitchtotheOFFpositionandremove
thekeyfromthekeyswitch.
2.Ensurethatthefuelhosesattachedtothefuelpumparefreeofobstructions.
3.Drainthefuel/waterseparator;refertothetractionunitOperator’sManual.
Verifyseparatorelementageandconditionandreplaceifnecessary.
Note:Sincethefuel/waterseparatorisupstreamofthefuelpump,the
conditionofthefuel/waterseparatorwillinuencefuelpumpperformance.
4.Disconnectthefuelhosecomingfromthefuelpumpatthefuellter.Check
theharnessconnectorsfordamageorcorrosionandcleanorrepairif
necessary.
