Flushthehydraulicsystemwheneverthereisaseverecomponent
failureorthesystemiscontaminated(forexample,theuidappears
milky,black,orcontainsmetalparticles).
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingunit(orattachment),
engagetheparkingbrake,setthekeyswitchtotheOFFpositionandremove
thekeyfromthekeyswitch.
2.ReadandadheretotheinformationprovidedinGeneralPrecautionsfor
RemovingandInstallingtheHydraulicSystemComponents(page5–52).
CAUTION
Flushthehydraulicsystemwiththehydraulicuidaswarmas
possible,buttopreventadditionalsystemdamage,DoNotoperatea
machinewithcontaminatedhydraulicuidtowarmtheuidbefore
draining.
IMPORTANT
Followalllocalcodesandregulationswhenrecyclingordisposing
thehydraulicuidandlters.
3.Drainthehydraulictankintoasuitablecontainer;refertothetractionunit
Operator’sManual.
4.Drainthehydraulicsystemhoses,tubes,liftcylindersandothercomponents
fromlowpointsinthesystem.
5.Removeandreplacethehydraulic-uidlter;refertothetractionunit
Operator’sManual.
6.Inspectandcleanhydraulictank.Removethehydraulictankifnecessary;
refertoHydraulicTank(page5–64).
7.Connectallthehydraulichoses,tubes,andcomponentsthatwere
disconnectedwhiledrainingthesystem;refertoInstallingHydraulicHoses
andTubes(O-RingFaceSealFitting)(page5–7).
