ThecuttingunitOperator’sManualprovidesinformationregardingthe
specications,operation,adjustment,generalmaintenance,andoptional
accessoriesforthecuttingunitonyourmachine.Refertothecuttingunit
Operator’sManualforadditionalinformationwhenservicingthecuttingunit.
BladeStoppingTime
Thebladesofthecuttingdeckmustcometoacompletestopinapproximately
ve(5)secondsafterthePTOswitchisdisengaged.T overifythebladestopping
time:
1.Lowerthecuttingunitontoacleansectionofturforhardsurfacetoavoid
dustanddebris.
2.Removeoneoftherotarycuttingunitbeltcovers,ortheailcuttingunit
drivebeltcover.
3.EngageandthendisengagethePTOswitchwhileobservingtheexposed
spindleorshaftpulley.Repeatthisstepandrecordthetimeittakesforthe
pulleytocometoacompletestop.
4.Ifthestoppingtimeisgreaterthansevenseconds,thePTOclutchmayneed
adjustment;refertoAdjustingthePTOClutch(page7–4).
