Thetractionneutralswitchisanormallyopenproximityswitchthatcloseswhen
thetractionpedalisintheneutralposition.Theswitchmountstoabracketon
thetraction(piston)pump.Thesensingelementforthetractionneutralswitch
isthetractionpumpleverthatissecuredtothepumpcontrolarm.Whenthe
tractioncontrollinkageisintheNEUTRALposition,thepumpleverwillbenear
theswitchfaceandtheswitchwillbeclosed.Whenthetractionlinkagemoves
towardForwardorReverse,thepumplevermovesawayfromtheswitchface
andtheswitchopens.
WiththekeyswitchintheRUNposition,theLEDonthecableendoftheneutral
switchshouldbeilluminatedwhenthetractionsystemisintheNEUTRALposition.
UseasmallmirrortoviewtheLEDifnecessary.
TheTDMdisplay/controllermonitorsthepositionofthetractionneutralswitch.
Thetractionneutralswitchispartofthemachinesafetyinterlocksystem.Using
thetractionneutralswitchposition(openorclosed)andavarietyofotherinputs,
theTDMdisplay/controllermanagesavarietyofmachinefunctions.
