Filter(DPF).TheDPFincludesaDieselOxidationCatalyst(DOC),aSootFilter
(SF),temperaturesensors,andapressuredifferentialsensor.TheDPFiskept
cleanthroughaseriesofregenerationprocessesthatarecontrolledbythe
engineECU;refertoDieselParticulateFilter(page4–5).
ReconditioningofSootFilter(SF)maybenecessaryoverthelifeofthemachine
whichwillrequireexhaustsystemdisassembly.Sootlterreconditioningshould
bedonebyacompanythathasthenecessaryequipment.ContactyourT oro
Distributorforinformationonreconditioningthesootlter.
TheDieselOxidationCatalyst(DOC)hasaservicelifeexpectancyandrequires
replacementatrecommendedintervals.ReplacementoftheDOCwillrequire
exhaustsystemdisassembly.
