A75ohmresistorassemblyisusedforproperkeyswitch(startcircuit)operation.
Theresistorplugsintothemainwireharnessabovetherightrearcornerofthe
operator’splatform.Theresistorcanbeidentiedbyitsgraycolorandresistor
symbolontheendoftheresistorbody.
TestingtheResistorAssembly
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingunit(orattachment),
engagetheparkingbrake,setthekeyswitchtotheOFFpositionandremove
thekeyfromthekeyswitch.
2.Disconnecttheresistorfromthewireharness.Checktheresistorandthe
resistorholderfordamageorcorrosionandcleanorrepairifnecessary.
3.Measuretheresistanceacrosstheresistorterminalsusingadigital
multimeter(ohmssetting).Theresistanceacrosstheterminalsshouldbeat
orneartheresistorsratedresistance.
4.Iftestingdeterminestheresistorisfaulty,replacetheresistor.
5.Iftheresistortestscorrectlyandacircuitproblemstillexists,checkthewire
harnesses;refertoAppendixA(pageA–1).
6.Aftertestingiscomplete,makesuretheresistorisfullyinstalledintothe
connectorandsecuredtothewireharness.
