10.Refrigerantcontainers(eitherfullorempty)areunderpressurethatwill
increaseifthecontainersareheated.DONOTexposerefrigerantcontainers
tohighheatsourcesorame.
11.Besuretheworkareaisproperlyventilatedtopreventanyaccumulationof
refrigerantorotherfumes.
12.Makesurethatcapsarealwaysplacedonthepressurehoseports.These
capspreventrefrigerantleakagefromthesystem.
13.Thedrier−receivercomponentisusedtocollectmoisturethatwillreduce
airconditioningperformance.Iftheairconditioningsystemisopenedfor
componentrepairorreplacement,makesurethatthedrier−receiverportsare
pluggedtopreventdamagetothedrier−receiver.Ifeitherthecompressor
orexpansionvalveisreplaced,replacementofthedrier−receiverisalso
recommended.
14.Afterinstallingairconditioningcomponents,haveacertiedairconditioning
servicetechnicianevacuatetheairconditioningsystemcompletely,properly
rechargethesystemwithR134arefrigerantandthenleaktestthesystem.
