SMART KEY SYSTEM
The turn signal light fails to blink (parking mode operation).
Centerstand does not unlock. (Vehicle power is turned on.)
If the smart key system indicator light “ ” flashes (error, refer to “SMART KEY SYSTEM SELF-DIAG-
NOSIS” on page 8-78.) when the centerstand is unlocked, the centerstand cannot be unlocked if the ve-
hicle power is not turned off and on.

• The storage compartment cannot be
opened.
• Check the mechanical components
of the lock for malfunctions. Repair
or replace any defective parts.
• Check the storage compartment lid
solenoid (for XP560D).
Refer to “CHECKING THE STOR-
AGE COMPARTMENT LID LOCK
SOLENOID (for XP560D)” on
page 8-112. Replace the remote
control unit and/or meter assembly.
1. Check the turn signal/hazard relay.
Refer to “CHECKING THE RE-
LAYS” on page 8-94.
NG Replace the turn signal/hazard relay.

2. Check for open or short circuit be-
tween the remote control unit and
turn signal/hazard relay (Brown).
NG Replace the wire harness.

Replace the remote control unit.
