REMOVING THE SIDE COVER
The following procedure applies to both of the
side covers.
1. Remove:
• Side cover “1”
a. Remove the side cover bolts “2”.
b. Remove the side cover “1”.
TIP
Remove projections “a” on the side cover from
grommets “b”.

REMOVING THE REAR SIDE COWLING
The following procedure applies to both of the
rear cowlings.
1. Remove:
• Side cover
• Rear cover
• Grab bar
Refer to “GENERAL CHASSIS (2)” on
page 4-11.
2. Remove:
• Rear side cowling assembly “1”
a. Remove the rear side cowling assembly
screw, bolt, and quick fastener.

REMOVING THE FOOTBOARD
The following procedure applies to both of the
footboards.
1. Remove:
• Bottom side cowling
• Side panel
Refer to “GENERAL CHASSIS (1)” on
page 4-1.
• Rear side cowling assembly
• Fuel tank cover assembly
• Center cover
• Side cover
Refer “GENERAL CHASSIS (2)” on page 4-
11.
2. Remove:
• Footboard “1”
a. Remove the footboard bolt, screw, and
quick fastener.
