[C-1] ERASING THE DTC
1. Delete the DTC using the malfunction of the YDT, and check that the MIL goes off.

When maintenance or checks have been performed on components related to the cruise control
system, be sure to perform a final check before delivering the vehicle to the customer.
1. Check the front brake lever and rear brake lever operation.
2. Check the rear brake light switches.
Refer to “CHECKING THE SWITCHES” on page 8-91.
3. Execute the diagnostic mode (DTC No. 82 and 83) to check the operation of the front brake light
switch, rear brake light switch, and grip cancel switch.
Refer to “DIAGNOSTIC CODE: SENSOR OPERATION TABLE” on page 9-58.
4. Execute the diagnostic mode (DTC No. 80 and 81) to check the operation of the cruise control set-
ting switch.
Refer to “DIAGNOSTIC CODE: SENSOR OPERATION TABLE” on page 9-58.
5. Delete the DTCs.
Refer to “DTC TABLE” on page 9-38.
6. Check the operation of the cruise control system.
Test ride the vehicle and confirm that the cruise control system is operating normally.
