Low Energy Tests Running a Script in Standard Mode
7-52 PN: 13000-00205 Rev. N MT8852B Operation Manual
PER Integrity
The MT8852B sends an random even number of BLE reference packets to the EUT at
-30 dBm with a PRBS9 payload. The CRC value for the packets is alternated between a valid
and invalid value. The EUT counts the number of received packets and this value is read by
the MT8852B over the HCI or 2-Wire interface for frame error rate (FER) calculation. The
test is repeated three times at the frequency selected.
The table below details the test conditions and the associated default settings. Permitted
variations from the default setting are detailed in the “User Range” column.
Results
1. Position the cursor at "PER Integrity" in the Script menu.
2. Press the [Results] soft key.

Table 7-22. PER Integrity Test Conditions
Parameter Default value User Range
Number of packets Random Random, Fixed (user defined)
Test Tx power -30.0 dBm -90.0 dBm to 0.0 dBm
Frequency 2440 MHz (same as Low/Medium/High settings)
Cycles 3 1 to 5
Packet types BLE BLE, 2LE, BLR8, BLR2
Note
If “Number of packets” is set to “Fixed”, the specified number of packets must be
an even value between 10 and 10,000. An error message displays if an odd value
is specified.
