Chapter 13 — CW Measurements
13-1 Performing Continuous Wave Measurement
The MT8852B can measure a fixed frequency signal to calibrate power, frequency, and
modulation. The CW measurement mode is intended only for the measurement of continuous
non-packetized signals; it does not support triggering.
1. Press > "MT8852B" > "CW Measurement".
The CW Measurement page displays as shown below.
2. CW Measurement is commenced using the [Enable] soft key and switched off using the
[Exit] soft key or pressing .
Gate width: Defines the measurement window. Settings can be made between
0.1 ms and the default setting of 3.0 ms.
Channel frequency: Replaced with "Channel number" depending on the setting that
has been made at "Display frequency as" on the All scripts setup
page (detailed in the following section of this manual.) The
default channel number is 2, with settings possible in the range of
-2 to 98.

Note
No results display in the modulation field if the received power level drops below
-40 dBm.
