Chapter 16 — IQ Data Output (Option
17)
The IQ data output software provides users with a means of capturing and viewing received
packets without using protocol or making an ACL connection. This option is useful for more
detailed analysis of the transmitter performance of EDR chips and products that do not have
a functional protocol stack. Three of the EDR transmitter measurements specified in the
Bluetooth RF test specification can be performed.
16-1 Software Overview
• Performs all measurements from a simple user interface with no signaling required.
• Performs three EDR transmitter test cases (relative transmit power, carrier frequency
stability, differential phase encoding).
• Allows the user to print and save test results.
• Supports 2-DH1, 2-DH3, 2-DH5, 3-DH1, 3-DH3, and 3-DH5 packets.
The [Anritsu Bluetooth EDR transmitter test software] window is divided into a number of
panes. The measurement settings are made at the left side of the window and the results of
measurement display to the right.
Note
It is not necessary to purchase option 17 to run EDR measurements on the
MT8852B or MT8852B-042 model types.
