9 Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Within this FAQ chapter we are offering solutions for easy-to-solve questions that our sup-
port encounters from time to time. The questions are grouped into specific topics to make
it more convenient for you to find a solution.
In case you do not find a proper solution for your specific problem, please do not hesitate
to contact us.
Our goal is to offer the best support possible. Therefore, we ask you to have the system
running and that you have internet access when you call us. Additionally we will need
details about your system. Please refer to chapter 8.4.2.2 on page 144 for details how
to export a system information file. Please include it in your mail when you contact tech
support.
9.1 Backup
How do I create a backup of important configurations?
From DTrack2 v2.8.1 it is possible to export and import configurations. Please refer to
chapter 8.4.2.1 on page 143 for details how to export and backup your configurations. In
case of an accidental deleting of a configuration it will be possible to restore it presuming
that an export had been carried out before. In the unfortunate event of repairs this data
could also be restored to a replacement controller.
Please note that a room (re-)calibration might be necessary especially in case the amount
of cameras or the camera models have changed.
9.2 Cameras
DTrack2 doesn’t recognize the correct number of cameras connected. What can
I do?
• First of all, please check whether cabling is correct.
• Please make sure that all cameras are powered up, indicated by their status LEDs.
• Within DTrack2 press ’F2’ in order to perform a search for new hardware. The
cameras should be detected now.
• In case of ARTTRACK2 (discontinued): please make sure that the camera’s fan
