■ Paper jam at the paper tray 2, 3, 4
<User Check>
- Check if the paper is loaded into the paper tray 2 correctly.
- Turn back the paper loaded in the paper tray 2 or change the orientation of the paper by
180
°
.
- Adjust the paper guide corresponding to the paper size.
- Check if too much paper is loaded in the tray.
- Check if the thickness of the paper is 60 to 105 g/m
2
.
- Fan the stack of paper well and reinsert the papers into the paper tray.
Step Cause Remedy
1 Foreign object around each
paper tray installed above the
target paper tray
Remove the foreign object.
2 Retard roller cover installation
failure
Re-assemble the retard roller cover.
3 Coming off of eject actuator of
each tray
Re-assemble the eject actuator of each
tray.
4 Paper feed motor harness
connection failure of each tray
Reconnect the paper feed motor harness
of each tray.
5 Paper feed sensor harness
connection failure of each tray
Reconnect the paper feed sensor harness
of each tray.
6 Paper feed sensor failure of each
tray
Replace each paper tray.
7 LT feed unit failure Replace the LT feed unit.
8 Main PCB failure Replace the main PCB ASSY.
