If removed, install the plate to the stern brackets
with four screws. Tighten screws to a torque of 18
to 24 in. lbs. (2 to 2.7 N·m).
Connect the trim motor and trim sender electrical
connectors (starboard side).
Connect the battery cables at the battery.
Install the port, starboard and front frames, and
engine covers. Refer to Engine Cover and
Frame Service on p. 55.
Manifold Disassembly
Service of the trim and tilt manifold requires
removal from the outboard. Refer to Trim & Tilt
Manifold Service on p. 323.
Separate the fluid reservoir from the trim manifold:
• Remove two screws and washers from the bot-
tom of the trim manifold
• Remove one screw and washer from the top of
the trim reservoir
