DescriptionSetting
Cisco Extension Mobility allows users to temporarily
access their primary phone configuration such as line
appearances, services, and speed dials from a Cisco
Extension Mobility-enabled phone. A user must log
into the Cisco Extension Mobility-enabled phone to
see the primary phone configuration.
You enable Cisco Extension Mobility separately for
the phone that can be logged in to and for the user
that can log in to a Cisco Extension Mobility-enabled
phone.
Extension Mobility
This option enables you to configure voicemail
feature. The following options are available:
• Allow user to divert an incoming call to
voicemail—Select this option to allow the user
to divert the incoming call to voicemail. The
message will be recorded in the voicemail.
• Allow user to be notified of new voicemails via
email—Select this option to receive an email
notification for every voicemail received. The
email will be delivered to the email address
specified by the user.
Ensure to enable the Email Notification
on System Settings > System
Notifications page to use this feature.
Note
This voicemail notification feature
requires that all users assigned to this
usage profile have an email address
configured before the feature can be
enabled. An error notifies if there are
users assigned to this profile do not
have an email address. Configure email
addresses for these users and enable
the feature for this usage profile
Note
Before you enable voicemail, verify whether
you have installed licenses for voicemail.
You must install voicemail licenses for each
user that can use voicemail.
