The left side contains a list of features that are active on the
director. The right side contains a list of features that come with
the new feature key. All of the features that are active are included
in the new feature list.
6. Click Activate to activate the new feature key. All current features
will be replaced with new features. That is, if there are features
shown in the current list that are not shown in the new list, then
those features will be removed from the director.
Activating the feature key causes an IPL of the switch, during
which the Ethernet connection between the Connectrix service
processor and the switch is momentarily interrupted.
7. Set the switch on line.
a. Click Maintenance on the Product Manager menu bar and
select Set Online State on the drop-down menu.
b. On the Set Online State window, click Set Online.
8. If you are finished configuring the switch, back up the
configuration data. For more information, refer to Backing Up and
Restoring the Configuration on page 7-12.
