2.5 Configure local users
Use this procedure to add or remove users, change user groups, change usernames and
passwords, lock or unlock users, prompt users to change their passwords at next login, et
cetera.

Field Description
Max Logon Attempts Before Lock
○
The number of failed log on attempts before your account is locked for a specific number of
minutes.
○
If your account is locked, you cannot log on, even if you provide the correct Username and
Password. Either the specified amount of time must pass, or an administrator must unlock the
account before you can log on again. Locking only applies to local users. Locking for enter‐
prise users is managed by the enterprise server.
○
If the administrator locks your account, the lock time duration does not apply. The account is
locked until the administrator unlocks it.
