8 Build Protocols with Notification Values by Factor
Use this procedure to set the Notification Values (NV) in user protocols for all scan groups by a
factor.
For example, if the CTDI
vol
in a scan group were 5 and a factor of 1.5 was entered, the new NV
value for the group would be 7.5.
•
Values can by entered in increments of 0.1.
•
Values must be > 0.
•
The maximum value is 10.

From the image monitor, click

2. From the Mode menu, click Protocol Management , then Protocol Management .
3. Enter your Log On Name and Password and click [OK] to continue.

From the Protocol Selection window, select Adult or Pediatric .
5. From the Anatomical area, select an anatomical region.
6. From the Protocol Selection window, select a protocol and click [Edit].
7. Click the series task to go to the first non-scout series in the protocol.
8. From the Dose Display area, click NV CTDI
vol
or DLP .
9.
Select Factor from the drop-down menu and type the desired factor for CTDI
vol
and/or DLP .
10. Click [Confirm Changes].
11. Click [Save] or [Save As] to return to the Protocol Selection window.
