9.7.2 Shock Paddles
1. Clean the cable, shock paddle handles and the electrode surface with soap
solution.
Make sure that
• no residual electrode gel remains between the electrode plates and the
paddle handles;
• the electrode surface is not scratched;
• no moisture penetrates into the plug interfaces.
2. Dry the plug connection thoroughly.
Wipe the electrode plates with an authorised disinfectant. Make sure the
disinfectant has had sufficient contact time with the surface.
Warning
Do not immerse the shock paddles in liquid.
