E Biphasic Defibrillator
Shockwave
The waveform of the shockwave is comprised of a positive rectangular
waveform of 4 msec. duration and a negative rectangular waveform of 3 msec.
duration, which contains 10% of the energy of the positive waveform. The
amplitude of the waveforms is adjusted automatically to the patient’s impedance.
