9.3 Automatic Self Test
The corpuls
3
performs a complete system check each time it is switched on.
This internal automatic self test checks the system components.
If error messages appear during automatic self test, these are displayed in the
status line and listed in the event history. These error messages can be
confirmed by pressing the Alarm key.
9.4 Regular Maintenance Work
9.4.1 Safety-related Checks
Pursuant to § 6 MPBetreibV (Medical Device Operators’ Ordinance, applicable
to the Federal Republic of Germany), operators must ensure that their devices
are subject to regular safety checks. Violations of this regulation may have
consequences under penal law.
Pursuant to § 6 sect. 4 MPBetreibV, the safety checks are only considered as
performed and consequently valid if performed by the manufacturers
themselves or by a specialist company according to the manufacturer’s
indications.
The corpuls
3
has to be subject to a safety check every 12 months. The scope
of this check is based on the corresponding test regulation and checklist.
