6.37.2 Example for Configuring the FTP Download Test
Networking Requirements
As shown in Figure 6-4:
l Switch B functions as the FTP server.
l A user with the name user1 and the password hello intends to log in to the FTP server to
download the test.txt file.

Configuration Roadmap
The configuration roadmap is as follows:
1. Configure Switch A as the NQA client.
2. Create and perform the FTP test on Switch A to check whether a connection between
Switch A and the FTP server can be set up and to check the time for downloading a file
from the FTP server.
Data Preparation
To complete the configuration, you need the following data:
l IP address of the FTP server
l Source IP address for the test
l FTP user name and password
l Operation file of the FTP test
Procedure
Step 1 Configure the IP addresses of Switch A and Switch B. The configuration details are not
mentioned here.
Step 2 Configure Switch B as the FTP server.
