Driving & Safety --- Section 2
The Executive 2005
51
The side sensor can only detect objects within range, generally as far as the adjoining lane of travel.
Stationary objects that maintain continuous presence to range, such as guard rails or construction walls,
may cause the red sensor display indictor to illuminate.
The Eaton Vorad side sensor can detect heavy rain, splash and spray conditions that may interfere
with side sensor operation causing both LEDs to illuminate until weather conditions improve.
The Eaton Vorad System cannot provide additional warning for situations including, but not limited
to, pedestrians or animals darting into the path of the motorhome, head-on collisions involving oncom-
ing vehicles, and intersection cross-traffic. This system is not a substitute for safe driving practices.
Data Recorder
Eaton Vorad CWS may be equipped with an optional feature that retains system data surround-
ing a particular incident including motorhome data as well as information regarding vehicles within
range. Current data is automatically saved until the motorhome is driven, and then replaced with new
data. To save specific information, push and hold the Range Knob on the Driver Display Unit for five
seconds until the green Smart Cruise® lamp begins to flash. The CPU will then store the last several
minutes of vehicle information.
WARNING:
The Eaton Vorad System is a tool to enhance, not substitute for safe driving practices.
The driver is ultimately responsible for safe operation of the motorhome.
