8. Check the rollers in the stationary sheave for wear. If
rollers are worn, a new driven clutch assembly may be
needed.
9. Inspect the bearings inside the moveable sheave.
10. Inspect the Teflon™ coating on the moveable sheave
be
arings.
11. Inspect d riven cl utch sh eave fa ces for wear or
da
mage.
12. Clean and inspect splines on helix and transmission
i
nput shaft.
13. Lube splin es with a lig ht film o f grease. Do
not
lubricate the bearings!
Moveable Sheave Bearing Inspection:
Replace the clutch assembly if
more brass than
Teflon™ is visible on the bearing.
