advanced alarms settings) are stored in the predefined SYSTEM directory. The predefined directories can be
reassigned or renamed by the user.
The SD Card memory is activated automatically after insertion of the card. The manual activation of the
USB Disk is needed.
The instrument current settings are stored in the instrument internal RAM. This file can be downloaded to the
PC as Settings.svt with the use of SvanPC++ software. It can be edited with the special Setup file editor tool
of SvanPC++ and uploaded to the instrument’s internal RAM (see SvanPC++ User Manual).
The type of the selected memory shows the icon at the top left-hand corner of the display.
“SD card” icon is displayed when external SD card memory is assigned for file saving. Micro SD
card is connected.
“USB disk” icon is displayed when the USB disc is assigned for file saving. USB disc is connected
and activated.
If the SD card and USB disc are removed from the memory slot the “memory warning” icon appears
instead of “SD card” or “USB disc” icon.
USB Disc activation
USB disc activation is performed in the Communication Ports window of the
Instrument section (path: <Menu> / Instrument / Communication Ports).
Activation of the USB disk can also be done
in the File Manager window. The user
should select the USB Disk position and
press the <ENTER> push-button. Then in
the Command list select the
Activate USB Host position and press the
<ENTER> push-button again.
The SD Card and USB Disk memories are organised as a standard memory with directories and sub-
directories (FAT32 file system). It is possible to create and delete the directories from the instrument level.
The content of the instrument’s memory can be controlled with the help of the File Manager or Setup Manager
function of the File section.
In the File Manager or Setup Manager
screens, data files are described by their file
name with an extension (SVL, SVT or WAV)
as well as additional icon and size (2KB
etc.).
