causethewheelmotortostallunderheavyloadconditions.Continuedoperation
cangenerateexcessiveheat,causedamagetosealsandothercomponentsin
thehydraulicsystem,andaffectoverallmachineperformance.
Therearemomentsduringwheelmotoroperation(gerollerposition)whenuid
owthroughthemotorislessrestricted.Ifawheelmotoristestedinthis
position,thetestresultswillbehighershouldnotbeusedtodeterminewheel
motorefciency.T estwheelmotorsinthree(3)differentwheelpositionstoobtain
accuratetestresults.Recordtestreadingsforallthree(3)wheelpositionsand
usetheaverageforthenaltestresult.

IMPORTANT

1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingunit(orattachment),
andsetthekeyswitchtotheOFFposition.
2.ReadandadheretotheinformationprovidedinT estingtheHydraulicSystem
(page5–22).
3.EnsurethatthetractionpedaliscorrectlyadjustedfortheNEUTRALposition;
refertoAdjustingtheTractionSystemforNeutral(page5–50).Also,ensure
thatthehydraulicpumpisatfullstrokewhentractionpedalispressedfullyin
forwardposition.
4.Attachaheavychaintotherearofthemachineframeandanimmovable
objecttopreventthemachinefrommovingduringtesting.Removeasmuch
slackinthechainaspossible.
5.Blockthewheelbeingtestedwithachocktopreventthewheelfromrotating
duringtesting.
