4.Loosenthefour(4)capscrewsthatsecurethepumpsectiontothefront
cover.
5.Removethepumpfromtheviseandremovethefasteners.
Note:Becarefultonotdroppartsordisengagegearmeshwhenseparating
pumpsections.
6.Supportthepumpassemblyandgentlytapthepumpbodieswithasoftface
hammertoloosenthepumpsection.
IMPORTANT
Marktherelativepositionsofthegearteethandthethrustplatesso
theycanbereassembledinthesameposition.Donottouchthegear
surfacesasresidueonhandsmaybecorrosivetogearnish.
7.Removethethrustplatesandtheseals.Beforeremovingthegearset,apply
markingdyetothematingteethtoretainthe”timing”.Pumpefciencymay
beaffectediftheteetharenotinstalledinthesamepositionduringassembly.
InspectingtheGearPump
Ifinternalpartsarefoundtobewornordamaged,gearpumpreplacement
isnecessary.
1.Removeanynicksandburrsfromallpartswithemerycloth.
