3.Placethefrontange,sealsidedown,onaatsurface.
4.Assemblethegearpumpasfollows:
A.Installthepressureseals,atsideoutward,intothegroovesinthe
thrustplates.Followbycarefullyplacingtheuni-rings,atsideoutward,
betweenthepressuresealsandthegroovesinthethrustplate.
B.Applyalightcoatingofpetroleumjellytotheexposedsideofthefront
ange.
C.Lubricatethedriveshaft/gearwithcleanhydraulicoil.Insertthedriveend
ofthedriveshaftthroughthethrustplatewiththepressuresealside
downandtheopensideofthepressuresealpointingtotheinletsideof
thepump.Fitthedriveshaft/gearintothefrontcover.
D.Lubricatetheidlershaft/gearwithcleanhydraulicoil.Alignthegearteeth
positionmarkingsmadeduringdisassemblyandinstalltheidlergear
shaftintothefrontthrustplateandfrontcover.Applyalightcoatingof
cleanhydraulicoiltothegearfaces.
E.Installtherearthrustplatewiththepressuresealsideupandtheopen
sideofthepressuresealpointingtotheinletsideofthepump.
F.Installthedowelpinsinthebody.
G.Applyalightcoatingofpetroleumjellytothenewbodysealsandbody
sealgroovesinthebody.Installthenewbodysealsintothebody.
IMPORTANT
Donotdislodgethesealsduringinstallation.
H.Alignthemarkerlinesandslidethebodyoverthegearassembly.
5.Installthedowelpinsintheange.
6.Alignthemarkerlinesandinstalltheangeovertheshaftends.
7.Installdowelpinsinrearcover.
8.Alignthemarkerlinesandslidetherearcoverovertheshaftends.
9.Installthe4capscrewswithwashersandhandtighten.
10.Placethefrontcoverofthepumpintoavisewithsoftjawsandalternately
tightenthecapscrewsto45N∙m(33ft-lb).
11.Placeasmallamountofcleanhydraulicoilinthepumpinletandrotatethe
driveshaftclockwiseonerevolution.Ifanybindingisnoted,disassemblethe
pumpandcheckforassemblyproblems.
