A.Connectthepositive(+)cableconnectorontothepositive(+)battery
terminal.
B.Connectadigitalmultimeter(settoA)betweenthenegative(-)battery
postandthenegative(-)cableconnector.Ensurethatthereadingisless
than0.1A.Areadingofmorethan0.1Ausuallyindicatesadamaged
switch,ashortedcircuit,orgroundedwire.Identifyandrepairthe
electricalfaultsbeforereturningthemachinetoservice.
C.Connectthenegative(-)cableconnectortothenegative(-)battery
terminal.Thecableclampmustbeparalleltotheedgeofthebattery
beforesecuringtheclamp.
10.Afteryoumaketheconnections,applybatteryterminalprotectorT oroPart
No.107-0392oralightlayerofpetroleumjellytothebatteryterminalsand
cableconnectors.
11.Makesurethattherubberbootsareinplaceoverthepositivecableendat
thebatterypostandatthestarter.
