RefertoFigure14forthisprocedure.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingunit(orattachment),
engagetheparkingbrake,setthekeyswitchtotheOffpositionandremove
thekeyfromthekeyswitch.
2.Removethehood;referto.
3.Removetheaircleanerintakehose.
4.Disconnectthecoolantoverowhosefromtheradiatorandremovethe
coolantreservoirandhosefromthemachine.
5.Removethewindshieldwasheruidreservoir(ifequipped)andremovethe
supportbracketfromtherightsideoftheradiatorassembly.
6.Usethedrainvalveontherightsideoftheradiatoranddrainthecoolant
fromradiator.
7.Removethesupportbracketfromtheleftsideoftheradiatorassembly.
8.Formodel31902/31903machines,disconnectthefuelhosesfromthefuel
coolerandpassthehosesoutthroughtheradiatorshroud;refertoFuel
System(page4–16).Removetheclampsecuringthefuelhosestothe
radiator.
9.Disconnecttheupperandlowerradiatorhosesfromtheradiator.Coveror
plugthedisconnectedcoolanthosestopreventcontamination.
10.RefertoGeneralPrecautionsforRemovingandInstallingtheHydraulic
SystemComponents(page5–52),thendraintheuidcoolerbydisconnecting
thehydrauliclinesfromthecooler.
11.Coverorplugtheopeningsinthehydraulicuidcoolerandradiatorto
preventcontaminationfromenteringthesystems.
12.Removethefastenersthatsecurestheradiatorassemblytotheframeand
removetheradiatorassemblyfromthemachine.
13.Disassembletheradiatorandhydraulicuidcoolerassemblyifnecessary.
•Inspectthefoamsealsonbothsidesoftheradiatorshroudforwearor
damageandreplacethemifnecessary.
•Ifnecessary,removethehydraulicttingsfromthehydraulicuidcooler
anddiscardtheO-rings.
