InstallingtheRadiatorandHydraulicFluidCooler
RefertoFigure14forthisprocedure.
1.LubricatenewO-ringsandplacethemontothehydraulicttings.Ifpreviously
removed,installthettingsintothecoolerportsusingalignmentmarksmade
duringremoval;refertoInstallingtheHydraulicFittings(SAEStraightThread
O-RingFittings)(page5–9).
2.Ifpreviouslyremoved:
•Clamptheradiatorshroudtotheradiatorassemblybeforesecuringthe
shroudtotheradiatorassembly.
•Securethefuelcoolertotheradiatorshroud.
•Installthefanshroudtotheradiatorassembly.
3.Positiontheradiatorassemblytotheframeandsecuretheradiatorassembly
withthefastenerspreviouslyremoved.
4.Removethecoversandplugsfromtheopeningsintheradiatorandthe
hydraulicuidcoolerandthedisconnectedcoolantandhydrauliclinesthat
wereinstalledduringremoval.
5.Connectthehydrauliclinestothehydraulicuidcooler.
6.Installthewindshieldwasheruidreservoir(ifequipped)andinstallthe
supportbrackettotherightsideoftheradiatorassembly.
7.Connecttheupperandlowerradiatorhosestotheradiatorandsecurethe
hoseswiththehoseclamps.
8.Installthesupportbrackettotheleftsideoftheradiatorassembly.
9.Formodel31902/31903machines,passthefuelhosesthroughtheradiator
shroudandconnectthefuelhosestothefuelcooler.Installtheclamp
securingthefuelhosestotheradiator.
10.Installthecoolantreservoironthesupportbracketandsecuretheoverow
hosetotheradiatorwithahoseclamp.
11.Installtheaircleanerintakehose.
12.Ensurethattheradiatordrainvalveisclosedandllradiatorandcoolant
reservoirwithcoolant;refertothetractionunitOperator’sManual.
13.Addhydraulicuidtothehydraulicreservoirifnecessary;refertothetraction
unitOperator’sManual.
14.Starttheengineandcheckforcoolantandhydraulicuidleaks.Repairany
leaksasrequired.
15.Continuetoruntheenginetoobtaintheoperatingtemperature.Checkthe
coolantandhydraulicuidlevelsandadjustifnecessarybeforereturning
themachinetoservice.
16.Installthehood;refertoRemovingandInstallingtheHood(page7–24).
