6.2.3.4 Import
Data that was previously exported can be imported at this screen. Imported data
may be:
• All Programs
• Single Programs
• User Options
• Factory Configuration
• Audit Log and Statistics
• Complete Backup (All of the above)
The source for the data import is the front USB port.
To perform the import, select Data to Import and place the memory
stick in the front panel slot. Wait for the memory stick to be
recognized by the tester. The USB Ready indicator on the status bar
will show when the USB device is ready.
Press the Import button and wait for the data transfer to finish. The Status Bar will
show “Import Successful” when it is safe to remove the memory stick from the
front panel. If the imported file already exists in the tester, the tester will pop up a
warning and request confirmation before proceeding with the import and updating
that data in the tester.
Import data from a tester with a different serial number
Data may be imported from a tester with a different serial number as long as the
machines have identical factory configurations. To ensure identical configurations,
you must export a complete backup from the originating tester before importing
data to the second tester (see page 6-27). To Import data:
Select Foreign Serial Number for "Import from", then select the Data to Import,
and input serial number of the QmR importing from. Next, place the memory stick
in the front panel slot, wait for the memory stick to be recognized by the tester. The
USB ready indicator on the status bar will show when the USB device is ready.
Press the import button. Once the data transfer is complete, restart the tester.
When exporting a file that contains the date and time, the date and time will be in
“Unix” time. The number represents a value in seconds since 1/1/1970. To
convert this value use the formula (((Unix time/60)/60/24 + DATE (1970,1,1).
Example:
Value from tester XML File: 1342442296
Formula for conversion: (((A2/60)/60)/24)+DATE(1970,1,1)
Converted Value: 41106.52657
Converted value formatted as 'Date': 7/16/2012
Converted value formatted as 'Time: 12:38:16 PM
