8. The QmR will now show that a valid license is installed. This concludes the
license update process.
10.5 Temporary License
A new tester is sold with a temporary license.
When initially setting up a new tester the date may be off by one day depending on
your location in the world. You may change the date to match your locality one
time. Do not
change the date again after making this initial setting.
Testers usually ship with the temporary license already installed. It is possible, on
rare occasions, that the a temporary license must be installed on location.
To install a temporary license, follow the license installation instructions given in
this chapter. The date must be set correctly before installing the license.
It is not possible to extend the temporary license period in any way by
manipulating the date or time.
