Host & Domain Name
The host name is a unique name for this Qualitek mR tester. An example of a
typical host name might be: “qmr-001”.
The domain name is relative to the network to which the tester is connected. The
network administrator can provide the domain name.
Name Servers
Name servers provide translations of human-friendly names to network IP
addresses. These services are defined relative to the network being connected to.
The network administrator can provide the name server IP addresses, and the
domain search identification.
An example of settings used at one site is given as follows:
Name Server1: 192.168.10.10
Name Server2: 192.168.10.30
Name Server3: <unused>
Domain Search: factory.com
Settings will be different for each installation and are determined by the local
network characteristics.
