Checking the signaling system
The horn fails to sound.
1. Check the horn switch.
Refer to “CHECKING THE
SWITCHES” on page 8-91.

The horn switch is faulty. Replace the han-
dlebar switch (left).

2. Check the entire signaling sys-
tem’s wiring.
Refer to “CIRCUIT DIAGRAM” on
page 8-29.

Properly connect or replace the wire har-
ness.

Replace the horn and/or remote con-
trol unit.
The tail/brake light fails to come on.
1. Check the front brake light switch.
Refer to “CHECKING THE
SWITCHES” on page 8-91.
NG Replace the front brake light switch.

2. Check the rear brake light switch.
Refer to “CHECKING THE
SWITCHES” on page 8-91.
NG Replace the rear brake light switch.

3. Check the entire signaling sys-
tem’s wiring.

Replace the tail/brake light assembly
and/or remote control unit.
The turn signal light, turn signal indicator light or both fail to blink.
