5. Defective front wheel sensor.
6. Malfunction in ECU.
• Replace the ECU.
Refer to “REPLACING THE ECU (Engine Control Unit)” on page 8-93.
• Execute the diagnostic mode. (Code D16)
• Rotate the front wheel by hand and check that the indicated value increases.
7. Malfunction in ABS ECU.
• Replace the ABS ECU.
Refer to “REMOVING THE HYDRAULIC UNIT ASSEMBLY” on page 4-68.
• Go to step 10, and complete the service.
8. Delete the DTC and check that the MIL goes off.
• Push the ON/start switch, and then rotate the front wheel by hand.
• Start the engine, and input the vehicle speed signals by operating the vehicle at 20 to 30 km/h
(12 to 19 mph).
• Confirm that the DTC has a condition of “Recovered” using the malfunction mode of the YDT, and
then delete the DTC.
• Delete this DTC even if it has a condition of “Detected”.
Is resistance ?
YES
Go to step 5.
NO
a. Replace the wire harness.
b. Execute the diagnostic mode. (Code D16)
c. Rotate the front wheel by hand and check that the indicated value increases.
Is that value increased?
YES
Go to step 8, and complete the service.
NO
Go to step 5.
Is check result OK?
YES
Go to step 6.
NO
a. Reinstall or replace the front wheel sensor.
Refer to “FRONT WHEEL” on page 4-22.
b. Execute the diagnostic mode. (Code D16)
c. Rotate the front wheel by hand and check that the indicated value increases.
Is that value increased?
YES
Go to step 8, and complete the service.
NO
Go to step 6.
Is that value increased?
YES
Go to step 8, and complete the service.
NO
Go to step 7.
