Provisioning Summary
TocreateadatapathfromtheGigESMportontheTotalAccess5000toanEthernetporton
theNetVanta800,completethefollowing:
1. ProvisiontheDS3EFM4‐PortorDS3EFM3‐PortLineModule.

2. Create
anEFMbondinggroupattheGigESMthatbondsasetofDS3portsontheDS3
EFMlinemoduletogether.
ThebondinggroupactsasthedataflowaccesspointtotheNetVanta800andisthepath
downwhichthemanagementconfigurationispushed.

3. CreateanEthernetVirtualCircuit(EVC)attheTotalAccess5000thatconnectstheEFM
grouptotheGigabitEthernetportoftheGigESM.
ThiscreatesthemappingoftheS‐taggeddata.Thisaccomplishesthefollowing:
•TheGigESMknowswhere
tosendthetaggedtrafficcominginfromthegigabit
networkport
•TheGigESMpushestheavailabletagstoeachEFMbondinggroupandtoeach
NetVanta800forthelocalNetVanta800provisioning
4. LogontotheNetVanta800.
