Ring Interface Creation
Toconfiguretheringinterface,completethefollowing:
1. AfterestablishingaconnectionwiththeSCM,pressinganykeydisplaystheTotalAccess
5000Systemlogonscreen.
Theaccountnameandpasswordfieldsarecase‐sensitive.
Thedefaultaccountnameis“A D M I N ” andthepasswordis“PASSWORD.”
Otherdefaultaccounts are:READONLY,READWRITE, andTEST. An
accountwithADMINprivilegesisrequiredtochangetheaccountnameand
password.
2. Typethedefaultaccountname,
ADMIN(ortheconfiguredaccountnamewithSystem
Administratorprivileges),andpress
ENTER.
3. Typethedefaultpassword,
PASSWORD(ortheconfiguredpassword),andpressENTER.
4. TheTotalAccess5000MainMenuisdisplayed.
5. FromtheMainMenu,select
System CLIandpressENTER.
6. OntheCLImenu,verifythattheTelnetPortis2008.Thisisthedefaulttelnetdesignation.
Ifthisisnotdisplayed,select
CLI Telnet Port optionandsettheportto2008.PresstheESC
keytoreturntotheCLImenu.
7. FromtheCLImenu,select
CLI Command EntryandpressENTER.
8. Thefollowingresponseisdisplayed:
Use EXIT to exit CLI session.
9. Select
“Y” to enter the CLI command interface.
10. Type
enable,andpressENTERtoenableprivilegedcommands.
11. FromtheEnableprompt,type
configure terminal,andpressENTERtoaccessthe
GlobalConfigurationprompt.
12. FromtheGlobalConfigurationprompt,type
interface erps 1/A/1,andpressENTER.
IfSM‐BisactiveontheNode,thecommandchangestointerfaceerps1/B/1 .
13. FromtheERPSInterfaceConfigurationprompt,type
west interface
ten-gigabit-ethernet 1/A/2
,andpressENTER.
14. FromtheERPSInterfaceConfigurationprompt,type
east interface
ten-gigabit-ethernet 1/B/2
,andpressENTER.
15. FromtheERPSInterfaceConfigurationprompt,type
