Provision LACP
WhenconnectingtheGigESMtotheprovidernetworkinterfaceelement(normallyaswitch
orarouter),multipleconfigurationoptionscanbeused.ThecurrentBSMapplication
connectstotheexternalswitchwithasingleSwitchModuleport(NET1)fromeachSwitch
Module,usingLinkAggregationControlProtocol(LACP)to
conveyActive/Standbystatusof
eachGigESMport.
Themaximumdatarateforthe networkinterfaceisstill1Gbps.Theuseof
LACPisindependentofusinglinkaggregationtoobtaingreaterthan1Gbps
networkconnection.ThisLACPuseisoftencalledhot‐standbyLACP.
