CreatetheMD,MA,andaMEPontheNetvanta800/8000SeriesNCTE#1(exampleatthe

2. FromtheGlobalConfigurationprompt,enabletheEthernetOAMsubsystembytyping
ethernet cfm,andpressENTER.

transitionthemtoStaticentries,andplacetheirvaluesinprovisioningsotheywillbe
persistenuponarestore.

allRemoteMEPsandalsoconfigureshowRemoteMEPscanbeadded.
• ConnectivityFailureInterval‐Thisvaluecannotbedirectlyconfiguredbyauserbut
isbasedoff oftheuser‐configurableCCMinterval.TheConnectivityFailureInterval
is3.5timestheCCMInterval.Itisoftenusedasthetimeframe
duringwhichcertain
eventsareexpectedtooccurwithin.OneexampleisifalocalMEPreceivesaCCM
fromaRMEPanddoesn’treceivesubsequentCCMfromitwithinthistimeframe,
thentheRMEP’sstateissetto‘Fail’.ForaMaintenanceAssociationusinga1‐second
CCMInterval,
ifalocalMEPreceivesaCCMfromaRMEPanddoesnotreceive
anotherwithin3.5‐seconds,theRMEPhasfailed.
